Kathryn MacLeod (also known as Katie) is a journalist with a passion for politics, foreign affairs, and travel.

Her writing covers a wide spectrum of news from the local to the national. She can seamlessly switch from interviewing Scotland's First Minister to telling the story of a small family-run start-up; and is equally as comfortable reporting on an international fashion show as she is covering a political debate.

Kathryn holds an MA International Relations from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, which included a year studying Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. She has lived and worked in the U.S.A and China, as well as her native Scotland.

Currently based in the New York City area, Kathryn also runs the award-winning travel blog, Stories My Suitcase Could Tell.
